What I would like is your thoughts and opinions on the two below Graphics. I took these pictures and they are very Special to me. Below is the story behind them. Please send this Link to your Friends.

I take pictures for our local paper of the events that go on in our community. This Memorial day (May 31 2010) I took them like every year where they hold the Memorial day parade. 

I can't mention who this man is but he owns and directs a Funeral parlor. The night before this picture was taken his God Daughter was killed in a motorcycle accident. She was very young and close to him. 

He had to take care of the arrangements. You can see in the pictures the emotion as he was giving his speech for Memorial Day. 

The pictures were taken 20 seconds apart. I blew up photo 2 to show of what I think is a spiritual sprit. That is the only way I know how to describe it. Please let me know what you think.

Hello Jim, 

Thank you so much for sharing your picture with us. It has freaked me out since you submitted it. I went to your website to see the first photo, I thought maybe the guy had some kind of eye patch that came loose. Out of all the photos that have been submitted to my website I'd have to say this one is the strangest. Another thing that freaked me out was the flag behind him, it has a face in it! 

I hope some paranormal investigators notice this and offer their expert opinion.

Well, Jim. I wish I could help you more, but I just can't identify the cause for the blur. Maybe the conditions are suspicious, but I don't think I recognize a familiar pattern or anything. 

It doesn't actually seem to be a reflection off his glasses, does it. I don't think my comment is worth posting, but I wish you lick. -

We are stymied by this image, too. The exposure was very quick, meaning you caught it in a very minute fraction of a second. Usually, we can find some explanation for such an anomaly, but this has stumped us. Also, we do not normally receive spirit photos with this type of image -- not sure what it is or how it happened. It almost looks like it is coming from his idea??? 

Do you have any further thoughts you could share about it?

Thanks for sending and sharing this image with me. To be perfectly honest I can't explain what you have here. Knowing the story behind the image, it tends to make me think it may be something paranormal, perhaps a spirit is attempting to wipe tears from his eyes. I just don't know. 

If you look closely enough you can see other anomalies in the image but if you look closely enough at any image, pareidolia (matrixing) can allow you to see things that really aren't there. Anyway I do find you photo amazing and in my opinion unexplainable, I would like your permission to put it on my website and of course give you credit and a link to your page.

Personally, I am not sure what causes such anomalies, though I believe it is not just a coincidence in many cases. It is my belief that at times we can peer into the spirit world as we are all spiritual beings it seems only right that we have this ability. 

I also believe that many times they have been captured in the manner your picture depicts. As I am a historian and a man of education I do not dismiss anything until such time as it is proven empirically one way or the other.

I can state that it does not look like any pictures of any actual spiritual phenomena that I have ever seen in my years of ghost hunting, It looks more like a piece of paper than anything else, but even that does not fit perfectly. My best guess would be that it is a reflection off of something that was far too close to the camera to be easily detected on the photograph, but just what I am not certain. It is a good example though of why in ghost hunting, multiple photos of the same location are necessary, preferably simultaneous from different angles to avoid false reflections

Wow! My first thought was it was a reflection from the glass, but that's behind him. Could be reflection from the glasses, however, it expands larger than his glasses and leaves a blur. I then though it could be a bug on the camera lens, however, I just can't figure a bug that could in any way look like that, although the blurs could be wings. I would be nice if you had a pic directly afterwards. I've got no clue as to what it could be. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

This does not look like any spirit pictures I have seen (see the picture page on www.placeoflight.net). I am more intrigued by the shifting shadows on the door on the left side of the picture. Whatever it is over his eye seems too substantial to be of spirit. Just my two cents worth

Hello 

I have looked at your photo very closely and what I think was captured is a bug in front of the lens. We have captured this many times on video and digital. It is what we call a false positive. You can view others much like this photo here…

I believe that spirits of loved ones often stay around to make sure we will be alright without them, and his God-daughter may have been there, but I do not believe this photo is proof of that spirit. I am sorry.

 Thanks for getting back with me Jim. Now that you explained the photos I think you really caught the moment, The man was definitely moved with the moment and my sympathies go out to him and the family of the lady who died.

In the first pic. behind the man I saw a jaded / shadowed area on his left side from about shoulder to second star down behind his head about center. Looking close it appears to me a facial form just in the star blue back ground shadowed on over to his left there appears to be another shadowed / jaded area as well right at the edge of the red stripe about hair line level tapers like a funnel on down to about the black bar just below his left shoulder. Slight shadowed area right in the left corner at base of flag. Second stripe from his left about cheek level there is more is that jaded / shadowed form. The image appears to blend in within the white strips. 

In the second picture the shadowed areas as described above still remain but interesting is the object at left eye area. Object appears deep saucer like ( small gravy bowel or one of the eye washer type bowls ) with shadowy image traveling with it, maybe / possibly a hand holding it. The image appears better in expanded pic. below. Moving as it appears to be as well could be a Childs top tea cup like as well. At the corner of his glasses there appears what could be a tea cup handle looped right at the hinge on the glasses corner of his eye glasses his left side. An astounding moment in time, never to be a repeated most likely the same. I like shots like these. They are the ones that really endure time. These thoughts shared above, are just an opinion in / of thought, as I see the picture.

I was checking the back ground and though the light or reflection in the photos behind the man were eyes watching him, If you look closely the light/eyes are not in the pictures so I don't think it is a reflection. The tissue for lack of words was the results of his friend dieing the night before. And it is her way of letting him know they were there and appreciated it. Does this help you at all
